Education of knowledge means in Islamic educational thought as an introduction to facing the challenges of the knowledge age"

Abstract

The research aimed to present an Islamic educational vision for the means of knowledge, especially (the mind and the senses), in an attempt to confront the challenges that the current era called the era of knowledge has produced, which carry opportunities and threats to societies in all aspects of their lives. The current research used the descriptive approach with its various procedures to monitor, interpret and analyze the current situation of the era of knowledge and its challenges. The deductive approach was also used in an attempt to derive the educational vision of Islamic educational thought for the education of the means of knowledge as a means to confront the challenges of the era of knowledge, from the main sources of this thought, which are the Qur’an and Sunnah and the opinions of some Muslim educational thinkers.The research concluded by emphasizing the centrality of the role played by the issue of knowledge in the current era until it became a feature of this era. The research also highlighted many of the challenges that the era of knowledge has produced,. The research revealed the great status that Islam has given to science and knowledge, and the research reached the formation of a comprehensive picture about the vision that Islam has set for the education of the means of knowledge, which has two main aspects: development and use on the one hand, and maintenance and preservation on the other hand.
