Some requirements for improving special education schools in light of the total quality

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the concept، objectives and philosophy of school improvement, in special education schools, as well as to reveal the steps and requirements of school improvement for special education schools in light of the total quality, and the researcher relied on the descriptive curriculum as the appropriate curriculum for the study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire as a tool for field study, and then applied it to (450) individuals are: (managers, agents, mentors, teachers), special education schools in Sohag Governorate.
The research was limited to presenting the requirements for improving special education schools in only two areas of school improvement: (school administration, teacher), and the results of the research reached some recommendations/requirements that work to improve special education schools in light of total quality, the most prominent of which are Follows:

To train managers on recent developments in the field of special education and to identify appropriate programs and activities for students with special needs in special education schools.
Development of training content in training courses, whether provided to managers or teachers, and training in adapting modern curricula for the disabled.
Interest to training teachers in modern teaching methods for students with special needs.
The necessity of holding specialized and rehabilitation training courses for teachers during the service in light of the advanced developments.
Training teachers on assistive technology and modern teaching technology for students with special needs.
