A proposed strategy for developing the skills of functional grammar and creative writing performance for speakers of other languages

Abstract

The aim of the current research was to identify the effectiveness using a proposed strategy in teaching Arabic language grammar in the development of some functional grammar skills and creative written performance of speakers of other languages ​​in the advanced level. To this aim, the researcher developed two tests for the functional grammar skills and creative written performance of speakers of other languages ​​in the advanced level. The quasi-experimental design based on the control and experimental groups was adopted. The experimental group studied in light of the proposed strategy in teaching the rules of the Arabic language, and the research instruments were applied to the two groups before and after the manipulation. The findings of the two groups on the post-measurement were compared. The findings revealed the effectiveness of using the proposed strategy in developing functional grammar skills and creative written performance of speakers of other languages ​​in the advanced level among the experimental group compared with the performance of control group.
