The effectiveness of the communicative approach in developing some literary text analysis skills among 2nd students at secondary school

Abstract

This research aimed at identifying the effectiveness of communicative approach in developing some literary text analysis skills among 2nd  students at secondary school, the researcher used experimental approach based on semi-experimental designThe research sample was selected from Malawy Secondary School for Boys, The sample was about (80) female students of the second year of high school, and they were divided into two groups; experimental group and control group. The researcher used List of literary text analysis skills then the researcher presented the list to a group of arbitrators, they adjusted it and reformulated it according to the opinions of the arbitrators,the list consisted of twenty skill of  literary text analysis, the researcher prepared a test for Literary text analysis skills and prepared for every skill a question in poetry and prose field. Then he presented the test to the arbitrators, modified the test, and then tried it to ensure the validity, reliability, ease and difficulty coefficient. The researcher applied the pretest on  the research group and then divided the research group randomly into an experimental group and a control group ,then he taught the experimental group using the communicative approach while the control group was taught by using usual way .The results proved the effectiveness of the communicative approach in developing some literary text analysis skills of the research sample students.
