Building a diagnostic scale for aphasia in patients with cerebral palsy and its relationship to some variables of neuromotor speech disorders

Abstract

The present study aimed to build a diagnostic scale for aphasia "aphasia" for cerebral palsy, and its relationship to some variables of neuromotor speech disorders, by studying the differences in their performance on the aphasia scale designed for this in an Egyptian sample, and the indications of the validity and stability of the scale and the effectiveness of the vertebrae were calculated The tool, as well as the derivation of criteria for each age group of cerebral palsy represented by the transformed T-score and percentile ranks that help in evaluating the performance of individuals in terms of the performance of members of the community in their normal distribution and the prevalence of their speech-motor neuromotor disorders on the scale dimensions or on each dimension of the scale, and the study sample consisted of ( 20) A male and female child and girl with cerebral palsy whose ages ranged between (4: 9) years, they were chosen from the Taiba Medical Center Specialized for Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Intensive Physical Therapy in Madinah, Saudi Arabia, and the scale was able to identify the differences between the dimensions of the neuromotor speech disorders And verbal aphasia in cerebral palsy, which include developmental speech coordination dysfunction, developmental dysarthria, dysarthria Pronunciation of acquired, verbal motor blindness and the significance of averages and standard deviations
