The New Roles of the Kindergarten Teacher in the field of Movement Education in light of the requirements of the Digital Age

Abstract

The current research aimed at getting acquainted with the opinion of a sample of faculty members at the College of Early Childhood Education at Asyut University and Minya University in proposing new roles for kindergarten teachers in the field of Movement Education in light of the requirements of the digital age, in order to achieve this goal, a questionnaire was designed that includes the programs of Movement Education: ( Basic skills - Movement Story - Small Games), presented in kindergarten with the use of various technological means in presenting its activities. The questionnaire was evaluated by specialists in Physical Education, Educational Technology and Childhood Education. At the end of the questionnaire, two questions were asked about the obstacles in the performance of the teacher to these new roles and how to face these difficulties.
After implementation, following results were reached:
- The response of the research sample was the degree of " Agree very much " regarding the performance of the teacher for these roles and by using technology and its various means.
- The opinions of the two research samples from the College of Early Childhood Education at Asyut University and Minya University have the same views regarding the proposed roles, as no differences were found in the response between the two samples.
Recommendations:
Introducing a course on the use of Technology in the preparation programs of the College of Early Childhood Education.
- Providing training courses for teachers (in-serving), on use of technological means in educating children.
