The effectiveness of the educational games strategy to develop mathematical skills among learners of the fourth grade of primary school in the State of Kuwait

Abstract

The aim of this research is to employ educational games strategies in the mathematics curriculum for fourth-grade students in Kuwait, to uncover the skills that teachers have in teaching mathematics to fourth-grade students in Kuwait, and to identify the role of educational games in developing math skills among grade students Fourth primary school in Kuwait, highlighting the mathematical skills that fourth graders have acquired from employing educational games strategy in the educational process in Kuwait. To achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher used the descriptive and analytical method, relying on the questionnaire as a main tool for collecting research data. He applied the research to a sample of (120) teachers in Kuwait who were chosen in a random, stratified manner.
Among the most prominent results of this research is the role of educational games in developing mathematical skills among fourth grade students in Kuwait. The results also showed that the skills that teachers have in teaching mathematical operations are the creation of a set of new educational games and motivation of students to practice and apply educational games using modern technologies. Among the important results as well is that toys and educational games are among the best and most successful educational methods used in learning mathematical skills
