The effectiveness of behavioral counseling program in developing some self-advocacy skills among a sample of students who are victims of bullying with visual impairment
Abstract The aim of the research is to verify the effectiveness of a behavioral counseling program in developing some self-advocacy skills among a sample of students who are victims of bullying with visual impairment, and the experimental and control groups reached (20) pupils, whose ages ranged from (9-12) years old, at Al Noor School for the Blind in Beni Suef Governorate. The tools were the scales for victims of bullying, self-advocacy, and the counseling program prepared by the researcher, and the results showed statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.01) between the average ranks of the experimental group scores in the pre and post measurements on the dimensions of the Self Advocacy Scale and the overall score in favor of the post measurement. And the existence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.01) between the mean ranks of the post-measurement scores of the two experimental and control groups in the dimensions of the Self-Advocacy Scale and the total score in favor of the experimental group, and the absence of statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.01) between the mean ranks of the scores of the two dimensional scales.And the tracking of the Self-Advocacy Scale of the experimental group, which means the effectiveness of the behavioral counseling program and its continued effectiveness after the follow-up period.
