Abstract

The aim of the current research is to know the level of preventive awareness of chemical hazards for science teachers before service in light of safety standards in science teaching, through: Knowing the level of the cognitive component of preventive awareness of chemical hazards among science teachers before service, and knowing the level of pre-service science teachers application of safety skills Concerning chemical risks during science teaching, and studying the relationship between the level of preventive awareness of pre-service science teachers and their application of safety skills during science teaching. Chemical in science teaching, and the research group consisted of a group of pre-service science teachers from the third year students of the Chemistry Division and the Physics Division for the second semester 2020/2021 academic year. Pre-service, and there is a low level of application of pre-service science teachers of safety skills related to high risks Chemicals during science teaching, and there is a positive, significant correlation between the level of preventive awareness of pre-service science teachers and their application of safety skills during science teaching. The research recommends the need to raise the level of preventive awareness among science teachers before service, which enables them to apply safety skills while teaching science, through the development of a science teacher preparation program
