Using a Model for Teaching Science Based on the Brain -Based Learning Theory for the Acquisition of Scientific Concepts of Primary Stage Pupils

Abstract

The present study aimed at identifying the impact of using a teaching model based on the brain- based learning theory for the acquisition of scientific concepts of fifth graders in Minia governorate. For achieving this aim, the teaching and learning instruments included a teacher's guide and an activity booklet for teachingthe "Energy " unit. It was taught in the light of the brain-based learning Theory. The measurement instruments included an objective test for measuring pupils' acquisition of the scientific concepts included in the "Energy" unit in the light of CAPS levels. Participants of the study were (64) male and female pupils enrolled at fifth graders in Minia Governorate in the academic year 2020/2021. They were divided into two intact groups; an experimental group and a control one using the quasi-research design.
