Abstract

The extent to which trained teachers practice for skills of the first teaching contact and its impact on secondary school students’ attitudes towards learning from their point of view

This study aimed to identify whether intern secondary school teachers practice the skills of the first teaching contact, and find the impact of practicing such skills on students' orientations to learning from their point of view. The study used the descriptive survey approach, and applied to the study community of secondary school students taught by intern teachers from a faculty in Al-Ahsa Governorate. Therefore, the study was selected from (305) students. The Sample was surveyed using "a questionnaire" which contained of Two-axes. where the first axis dealt with whether intern teachers practice the first teaching contact skills. The second addressed the impact of practicing such skills on orientations of secondary school students.
The study has revealed a number of important results, the most important of which as follows: In total, intern students were found to be applying first teaching contact skills in an excellent manner. Also, a positive influence was found due to practicing the first teaching contact skills in enhancing orientations of secondary school students towards learning.
