The Development of Faculties of Education in the Arab Republic of Egypt in the Light of Specialized Pedagogical Universities

Abstract

The study aimed at identifying Reality of Faculties of Education in Arab Republic of Eygpt, recognizing the most significant models of specialized pedagogical universities, and proposing a vision for faculties of education in Egyptian universities in the light of specialized universities.
The researcher followed the descriptive approach in order to achieve the study objectives, as this approach is quite appropriate for the nature of the study.
The study concluded that the reality of the diversity of faculties of education, such faculties suffer a lot of issues related to preparation systems, admission systems, curricula, financial capacities, field training, faculty members, evaluation systems, which may be under the control of the administration, and material resources, which inevitably affect the educational environment.
It also found a number of models of specialized pedagogical universities, such as Volgograd State Pedagogical University and Moscow State Pedagogical University in Russia, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University in Kazakhstan, Korea National University of Education in Korea, and National Pedagogical Dragomanov University in Ukraine. The researcher proposed a vision for a specialized pedagogical university in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
