Abstract

Research Objective: Designing a teaching model for Islamic religious education prepared according to the methods and tools of reflective learning, and its effectiveness in developing some critical thinking skills and awareness of contemporary issues for secondary school students. To achieve this goal, the research used the experimental approach based on the real experimental design with two groups: the control group of (34) female students and the experimental group of (33) female students from the second year of general secondary school in the New Secondary School in the Abu-Qurqas Educational Administration in Minia Governorate within the second semester 2019 / 2020 AD. The researcher prepared the research instruments and experimental material, and then applied them in the light of the following steps: determining the two lists of critical thinking skills, awareness of contemporary issues, testing critical thinking skills, and the awareness scale of contemporary issues. These instruments were set and judged by a group of specialized experts, numbering (15) jury members, and the two measurement tools were applied to a piloting sample of second-year secondary school students at Qasim Amin Secondary School consisting of (51) female students to determine some statistical constants represented in the time of the two instruments, their validity, and their reliability, and then designing a teaching model for Islamic religious education prepared according to the methods and tools of reflective learning by preparing the general framework for it, presenting it to a group of jury members, whose number is (11),
