Abstract

The study aimed at identifying the requirements and challenges of employing faculty members of the mixed methods approach in educational administration and leadership research in Saudi universities. The study used the descriptive survey method, and the study sample consisted of 85 faculty members in the field of educational administration and leadership in Saudi universities. The questionnaire was used as a data collection tool to collect the data from the participants. The study yielded several findings, the most important of which is the need to provide requirements to support faculty members in using the mixed methods approach in educational administration and leadership research in Saudi universities. The study also found that there are some challenges facing faculty members in employing the mixed methods approach in educational administration and leadership research, including the great time and effort required to collect and analyze data using the mixed methods approach, and the lack of conviction of some faculty members to employ the mixed methods approach in their scientific research, and the lack of academic references in the university library, and the lack of training courses regarding the mixed methods approach.
