Abstract

The study aimed to develop solutions to overcome the obstacles to the application of professional licensing to practice the profession of teaching in general secondary education in Egypt in terms of referring to the concept of professional licensing for teachers in general secondary education, The purpose in the first place of the idea of professional licensing is educational knowledge, and in the second place, it is to ensure the availability of a minimum level of quality and efficiency for new teachers, and then address the objectives and benefits of licensing to practice the teaching profession, which is to set controls for the teaching profession in accordance with standards and performance levels that ensure the appropriate limit of competencies The academic and professional necessary for the teacher to perform his role efficiently and effectively. Then identifying some obstacles and problems in the application of the professional license to practice the profession of teaching for teachers in general secondary education in Egypt, whether related to the teachers themselves or related to the application system The study suggested some proposals, including: Establishing legislation that requires obtaining a license to practice the profession of general secondary education before appointment and recommended directing the attention of those in charge of the educational process to awareness of the importance of granting a legal license to work in the supreme teaching profession
