Abstract

The study aims to: Arabize the Behavioral Activation for Depression Scale according to the theory of Behavioral Activation, investigate the psychometric properties, validity and reliability for the Arabized model of the scale, also to know the effect of gender (male- female) on the four factors- Behavioral activation for depression scale. For methodology, the Descriptive method was used. The tool was the Behavioral Activation for depression scale. The scale was applied on a group of (346) students in Minia university. The results were a high rate of reliability by using Alpha-Cronbach and reapplication method, also there were statistically significant differences between males and females on the scale for the favor of females. The study recommended using the scale in research and psychological guidance centers, Psychiatric clinics, expanding the use of the scale with other age groups and to make correlating studies of the scale with other factors, also the study recommended examining the psychometric properties of the scale with samples of special needs groups.
