Emotional intelligence and test anxiety and their relationship to academic achievement using a meta-analytic approach

Abstract

The aim of the research is to reveal emotional intelligence and test anxiety and their relationship to academic achievement using the meta-analysis approach, In order to achieve that goal, Two questions that express the research problem were put forward: First - Is there a significant size of the total effect of emotional intelligence on academic achievement in the studies included in the research?

Second - Is there a significant size of the total effect of test anxiety on academic achievement in the studies included in the research? In order to answer these questions, the meta-analysis approach was used to synthesize previous studies to reach more general decisions from them. A sample of (72) preliminary studies were collected, and those studies were analyzed and examined in the light of a set of criteria, so that the final studies sample includes (43) studies, and the data were analyzed using the Comprehensive Meta-Analysis 3 statistical program, and the search results revealed the following: There is a significant size of the effect of emotional intelligence on the academic achievement of the studies included in the research, and there is a significant size of the effect of test anxiety on the academic achievement of the studies included in the search.
