Abstract

The current research aimed to investigate the effect of the dramatic approach in teaching preventive security to the second-year students in the Laboratory Technician Division at Minia Secondary Agricultural School to enhance their attitude towards preventive security. To achieve this, a teacher's guide and student activity book were prepared based on the dramatic approach. The research instruments was the attitude scale towards preventive security. The research adopted the quasi-experimental approach with a two-group design, consisting of a control group of 13 students and an experimental group of 15 students. The researcher used the pre- and post-measurements of the research variables. The research materials and instruments were applied to a group of students in the second-year agricultural class, Laboratory Technician Division, at Minia Secondary Agricultural Military School in Minia Governorate during the second semester of the academic year 2021/2022. The results showed there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of students in the attitude scale towards the use of dramatic approach in favor of the experimental group. There was also a significant effect of using the dramatic approach in developing the attitude towards the subject. The research recommended the generalization of using the dramatic approach in teaching all challenging subjects and across various age groups, as well as conducting training courses for teachers to help them master the use of the dramatic approach in teaching.
