Using the linguistic activities in developing the reading skills for preparatory female pupils

Abstract

This study aimed at using linguistic activities in teaching the Arabic language to second year preparatory female students, and measuring their impact on developing their oral reading performance skills. And the experimental group consisted of (35) female students who studied using language activities, and a list of the skills of oral reading performance was prepared, and a test that measured these skills of female students and then applied beforehand; To ensure the equivalence of the two groups in the measured variable, the experimental treatment material was applied, and then the oral reading performance test was applied post-application on the students of the control and experimental groups. It was found that there was a statistically significant difference at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the control and experimental group students in the post-measurement of the oral reading performance test as a whole and its sub-skills separately in favor of the experimental group.
