Abstract

The study aims at identifying the degree of practice of Situational management patterns in the light of theory "Hersey and Blanchard" at high school principals in all school districts of Kuwait’s, It also aims to identify their dominant leadership patterns in the light of Hersey and Blanchard's situational theory, It also aims to determine whether there were statistically significant differences in the degree of leadership patterns in accordance with Hersey and Blanchard's situational theory of high school leadership in Kuwait attributable to gender, managerial experience and scientific qualification variables.

Depending on the analytical and describing methodology, using a questionnaire as a tool in data collecting, this questionnaire was applied through a sample of (152) high school’s principals, the results proved that educational foundations’ managers’ leadership Behavior patterns percentage range from (47.4%) to (10.5%) as it is arranged in descending order like the following: in the first order: Sharing Behavior by (47.4%) then Persuasive Behavior is represented by (26.3%) after that Commanding Behavior by (15.8%) weather Delegating Behavior is the fourth and the last order by (10.5%), and the study also found that there are statistically significant differences in the degree of practice of the four leadership patterns according to the position theory of Hersey and Blanchard among Kuwaiti high school principals attributable to gender and scientific qualifications’ s position, while there are no statistically significant differences in the degree to which leadership patterns are practiced according to the position theory of Hersey and Blanchard attributable to the variable management experience.
