Abstract

The study aimed to reveal the relationship between nonviolence, value patterns, and some personality variables among a sample of university students. The study sample consisted of (320) male and female university students from practical and theoretical colleges. Their ages ranged between (18-24) years, with an average age. (21.0), standard deviation (1.16), and the study tools were the Schwartz Values ​​Scale, the Mitton Nonviolence Scale, translated and codified (Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Desouki, Taha Mohamed Mabrouk), and some personality variables represented in (sociality - flexibility - trust - hostility - maintaining order). ) from the Omni personality scale, the results of the study indicated that there is a positive significant relationship between nonviolence and value patterns. It also indicated that there is a positive relationship between some personality variables (confidence, sociability, flexibility, and maintaining order) and nonviolence. It is also clear that there is a negative relationship between The variable of hostility and non-violence, and the presence of statistically significant differences between the theoretical and practical faculties of non-violence in favor of the practical faculties, and that the patterns of values ​​and some personality variables (sociality, flexibility, trust, maintaining order) can predict the degree of non-violence.
