A Proposed Program in Green Biology Based on Sustainable Development for Acquiring Green Biology Concepts, Developing Some competencies of Green Manufacturing For Agricultural Secondary Students

Abstract

The current research aimed to effectiveness a proposed program in green biology based on sustainable development for acquiring green biology concepts, developing some competencies of green manufacturing for agricultural secondary students. For the main purpose of performing this objective, the program was prepared in the form of the student’s booklet and the teacher’s guide. Tools for measurements include: test of green biology concepts and scale competencies of Green Manufacturing. Methodology of the current research is quasi-experimental approach. The topics of the units program for the research group consisting of 50 students in the agricultural manufacturing field, the measurement tools were applied before teaching the topics of the program and then applied afterwards after the completion of teaching its topics. The results of the research showed that the proposed program significantly contributed to the acquisition of Biology Concepts, the development of Some competencies Green Manufacturing for Agricultural Secondary Students, where a statistically significant difference was found at the level (0.01) between the mean scores of the research group students in the pre-application and post- application of the research's measurement tools; In favour of the dimensional application. The research also recommended the necessity of enabling students to practice Technical professions; that achieve the sustainable development goals and of including Competencies methodological within the programs of preparing students of the Agricultural Sciences Division, College of Education
