The Effectiveness of a training progrom Based on Interactive Digtial storytelling to Improving some semantic memory skills among Childern with cerebral palsy and intellectual disability

Abstract

The research aimed at investigating the effectiveness of a training program based on interactive digital storytelling to improveing some semantic memory skills among Childern with cerebral palsy and intellectual disability, The sample consisted of (8) cerebral palsy children with intellectual disability, (Aged 6-9 years; M=7,88; SD=1,15) at Sawt Association for the Intellectually Disabled in Katameya, Cairo Governorate, they were divided into two experimental and control groups with (4) children for each group, The research included the following insstruments: The semantic memory scale prepared by the researcher, The Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale: Fifth edition, Prepared by Abu Al-Nil et al. (2011), The training program was applied to the experimental group over a period of (12) weeks with (35) sessions, At a rate of (3) sessions per week, The results showed that: There were significant differences between the average ranks of the experimental groups’ scores in the pre- and post-measurements on the Semantic memory scale in favor of the post-measurement, There were significant differences between the average ranks of the post- measurement scores for the experimental and control groups in the semantic memory scale in favor of the experimental group, There were no significant differences between the average ranks of the scores of the Post- and follow-up measurements on the semantic memory scale.
