A proposed Strategy for Establishing Research Chairs to Achieve Investment in Intellectual Capital in Egyptian Universities

Abstract:
The study aimed to develop a proposed strategy for the establishment of research chairs to achieve investment in intellectual capital in Egyptian universities, based on the interest of universities to invest in scientific research, support and develop it and diversify its sources of funding, by moving towards adopting research chairs as a new formula and strategy that enhances its scientific and research services, and provides the appropriate and encouraging environment to invest its distinguished intellectual capital in the development and enrichment of human knowledge, increase the rates of scientific innovations and turn them into research projects and applicable products and contribute In solving the problems of society and its industrial and productive sectors, the study used the descriptive approach, as well as the SWOT Analysis method to analyze the internal and external environment for the establishment of research chairs in Egyptian universities to come up with the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and potential threats to determine the appropriate strategic alternative to build the proposed strategy.
The study reached some of the necessary requirements to achieve the proposed strategy, including forming an executive team for the strategy from human capital with experience in strategic planning, and providing an organizational environment for coordination and cooperation between all parties responsible for following up on the implementation of the strategy.
