Proposed procedures for developing the professional development of special education teachers in Egypt in light of the experiences of some countries

Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the theoretical foundations of the professional development of special education teachers, their future roles, their educational requirements, the scientific dimensions and characteristics that must be present in special education teachers, and to deduce aspects of benefiting from the experiences of some countries in the field of professional development in developing the professional development of special education teachers in Egypt. The study used a descriptive-analytical approach to monitor and analyze studies and literature related to the research topic and to determine its intellectual frameworks, The results of the study reached proposed procedures for developing the professional development of special education teachers in Egypt in light of benefiting from the experiences of some countries. The need for special education teachers to be familiar with the goals and importance of professional development, its principles and training methods provided to them, and to understand its philosophy and inform them of modern educational systems in the field of special education. And improving their teaching competence and skills in light of the experiences of some countries. In light of the results of the study, it recommended the need to pay attention to the professional development of the special education teacher, who can deal with this type of children and specializes in methods and methods of preparing for these groups, and the need to pay attention to technology in general and computers in particular in professional development programs, and to move away from traditional teaching methods and move to e-learning.
