Psychological capital and its relationship to Vocational self-concept For special education teachers In Fayoum Governorate
Abstract:
The research aimed to identify the level of psychological capital and its relationship to the level of vocational self-concept among special education teachers in Fayoum Governorate. The research also aimed to reveal differences in the level of psychological capital and vocational self-concept among sample members according to the variable (gender, field of disability). The research relied on the descriptive approach, and the research sample consisted of (65) male and female teachers, whose ages ranged between (31-57) years. The research used the psychological capital scale (prepared by the researcher), and the vocational self-concept scale (prepared by the researcher).
The results of the research showed that the level of psychological capital among special education teachers was high, and that their level of vocational self-concept was also high. The research also found that there was a statistically significant positive correlation between psychological capital and vocational self-concept among the research sample.
The research also found that there are statistically significant differences in the psychological capital and vocational self-concept of special education teachers according to the gender variable, in favor of females, and there are statistically significant differences in the psychological capital and vocational self-concept of the research sample according to the disability field variable, in favor of the hearing disability field. Then visual disability, then mental disability.
