Abstract

the study aimed to create a proposed strategy for developing general secondary education in Egypt in light of the requirements of digital transformation, and to achieve this aim, the study used the descriptive method, which is based on describing, analyzing, and interpreting data, It identified the conceptual frameworks of general secondary education, the theoretical foundations of digital transformation, monitored the current status of general secondary education in Egypt, and highlighted the justifications for digital transformation in secondary education.

The study also relied on the SWOT environmental analysis approach to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in both the internal and external environments, in order to reach the proposed strategy based on a well-defined understanding of reality. Moreover, the study employed the Delphi method in its three rounds to explore the views of experts, including faculty members from colleges of education as well as some principals and teachers of general secondary education, regarding the requirements of digital transformation on which the proposed strategy for developing general secondary education would be based.

The study concluded with the formulation of a proposed strategy for developing general secondary education in Egypt in light of the requirements of digital transformation.
