Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a program based on the thinking profiles in the light of Harrison and Pramson's theory in teaching psychology to develop Probe thinking and Lower Suggestibility among commercial high school students, and the study was applied to (60) students from the commercial high school students, (30) A student as an experimental group, (30) a student as a control group, and the study found:
The effectiveness of a program based on Profiles of Thinking in the light of Harrison and Pramson's theory in teaching psychology to develop Probe thinking among commercial high school students, where the rate of adjusted gain for the experimental group in sound thinking is (3,65—3,96 - 5.94) in Skills (absorption of the psychological concept, access to inferences, application of principles) respectively, which are high, and in whole thinking as a whole amounted to (1.31) which is an educationally acceptable percentage and indicates the presence of a statistically significant gain, and the impact size reached (3,60 - 3,6 - 4.33) with respect to the sub-skills (understanding the psychological concept, reaching inferences, applying principles) respectively, and for deep thinking as a whole were (2,41) which are very high impact rates, which indicates that the program based on the profiles of thinking in the light of theory Harrison and Pramson are of great influence in the development of all Probe thinking.
The effectiveness of a program based on Profiles of Thinking in the light of Harrison and Pramson's theory in teaching psychology to Lower Suggestibility among commercial high school students, where the adjusted gain ratio for the experimental group in the measure of intellectual distraction is (0,88), which is weak gain, while the size of Impact (3,57). These are impact rates, which indicates that the program based on thinking profiles in light of Harrison and Pramson's theory has the effect of reducing the susceptibility to intellectual irritation, but the gain is weak.
