Abstract

The aim of the research is to reveal the effectiveness of using accelerated learning to teach mathematics on cognitive achievement and the development of algebraic thinking and motivation for achievement among first-grade middle school students, and the research sample consisted of (90) female students in the first intermediate grade distributed into two groups ,One of them is an experimental one whose consisted of (45) students and uses accelerated learning with it, and the other is a control (45) students and used with it the usual method. Prescribed in the second semester of the research group - the algebraic achievement test - and the measure of motivation for achievement),The results of the research showed that there was a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.01) between the mean scores of the experimental group that studied the unit numbers and algebra using accelerated learning and the scores of the control group students and that studied the unit numbers and algebra in the usual way in the post application of the achievement test for the benefit of the experimental group,And the presence of a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0,01) between the mean scores of the students of the experimental group that studied the unit of numbers and algebra using accelerated learning and the degrees of the students of the control group, which studied the unit of numbers and algebra in the usual way in the post application of the algebraic achievement test for the benefit the experimental group .
