Using Hermann's Thinking Compass HBDI in Teaching Geography in Developing fourth grade Primary Pupils' Productive Thinking Skills and Geographical reflective.

Abstract

This research aimed at Developing fourth grade Primary Pupils' Productive Thinking Skills and Geographical reflective Thinking. by using Hermann's Thinking Compass HBDI in Teaching Geography, To achieve the aim of the research, the researcher: reviewed the literature and the studies pertinent to Hermann's Thinking Compass HBDI, prepared a teacher’s guide and students’ classroom activity and tasks note in according to a suggested strategy in the light of Hermann's Thinking Compass HBDI theory, and prepared a test of Productive Thinking Skills and Geographical reflective Thinking Skills for fourth grade Primary Pupils, 60 male and female Pupils from, fourth grade Primary Pupils from Omar bin Khattab Primary school at Assiut administration were selected for the research, They were randomly assigned to a control group (30 Pupils) and an experimental one (30 Pupils), The result of using the suggested strategy in teaching geography was effective in developing Productive Thinking Skills and Geographical reflective Thinking of the experimental group. Hence, the researcher recommended: using Hermann's Thinking Compass HBDI in teaching geography courses for its role in building educational situation that suit learner s' favorite thinking and learning style, which helps to develop their mental and thinking skills.
