Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a proposed project-based science teaching program in developing problem-solving skills for primary school students and to achieve the study's objectives. The study tools consisted of preparing: a teacher’s guide for a proposed unit titled Microorganisms and their causes of diseases, worksheets for the learner for a proposed unit titled Microorganisms and their causes of diseases, a test of problem-solving skills for sixth-grade students, and the current study used the quasi-experimental one-group approach In the tribal and remote measurement of the variables of the study, the study sample consisted of a group of sixth-grade male and female students in the Matai Educational Administration in Minya Governorate. The study found the effectiveness of the proposed project-based program in developing problem-solving skills for primary school students. The study recommended using the proposed program based on On projects in science teaching because of its effectiveness in developing problem-solving skills, Training teachers before and during the service on the use of the project-based learning strategy as well as problem-solving skills.
