The effectiveness of using 7E’S learning cycle model to teach geometry on developing of geometric proofing skills for second year preparatory school students

Abstract

This research aims at identifying the effectiveness of using 7E’S learning cycle model to teach geometry on achievement and retention of learning and developing of geometric proofing skills of second year preparatory school students. To achieve that , prepared (the geometric proofing skills test ) ,and the teaching materials consisted :of(A teacher's guide to teach the areas unit according to using 7E’S learning cycle model and the students worksheets (.the research sample consisted of (65) female students in second intermediate grade distributed into two groups One of them is an experimental one whose consisted of (34) students uses 7E’S learning cycle model, and the other is a control (31) students and used the usual method.
The results of the research showed a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the students of the control groups (which were studied in the traditional way) and the experimental (which were studied using7E’S learning cycle model) in the post application of the geometric proofing skills test for the benefit of the experimental group students
