Family violence and its relationship to social phobia and aggressive behavior among university students

Abstract

The current study aims to identify the impact of the presence of violence between spouses and the emergence of aggressive behavior and social phobia among adolescent girls in the family. The study used three scales: the scale of family violence, the scale of social phobia, and the scale of aggressive behavior prepared by the researcher. Education, Majmaah University, to calculate the reliability validity of the three measures, and then apply it to the study sample, which amounted to 318 female students from different departments of the College of Education, Majmaah University. The results showed a statistically significant correlation between family violence and social phobia, and there was also a statistically significant correlation between family violence and aggressive behavior, in addition to a statistically significant correlation between social phobia and aggressive behavior, and a statistically significant effect. Between family violence on both social phobia and aggressive behavior, the results also showed that social phobia affects a positive relationship with aggressive behavior.
