The effectiveness of teaching a proposed unit in social studies using accelerated learning to develop environmental citizenship and positive thinking among primary stage pupils

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the effectiveness of teaching a proposed unit in social studies using accelerated learning to develop environmental citizenship and positive thinking among primary stage pupils. The research group consisted of one experimental group (30) students. The research tools were (environmental citizenship Scale - positive thinking Test). The research tools were applied first, then teaching the proposed unit according to accelerated learning, and then applying the research tools one more time. The results of the research concluded that there is effectiveness in employing accelerated learning in teaching the proposed unit on the development of environmental citizenship and positive thinking among primary school students, and in light of that, a set of recommendations and proposed research were developed.
