The current research aims to identify the extent of the effectiveness of a cognitive-behavioral treatment program in reducing depressive symptoms among mothers of children with motor neurological disabilities, and the extent to which the effectiveness of the treatment program continues after two months of the application of the treatment sessions. The research sample consisted of ten mothers of children with motor neuron disabilities, which included the motor neuron disabilities included in the research (cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, and muscular atrophy). To achieve the objectives of the research, the depression scale was used for mothers of children with motor neurone disabilities (prepared by the two researchers), and the proposed treatment program. The sessions of the treatment program, which lasted for six months, were applied with one or two sessions per week, bringing the final number of sessions to (37) sessions, and the session time ranged between (60: 120) minutes. Follow-up measurement was carried out two months after the application of the program. The results of the research revealed the effectiveness of the program in reducing the severity of depressive symptoms; Where there were statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the pre and post measurements, in addition to the continuation of the impact of the program after the follow-up period.
