Psychometric characteristics of the scale of psychological abuse experiences in high school students.

Abstract

This research paper aims to build an objective tool and estimate its psychometric characteristics to measure the experiences of psychological abuse in high school students, and to achieve this purpose was prepared a scale consisting of (71) items distributed over five basic dimensions (rejection - ignoring-verbal abuse-isolation- Mocking), where the scale was applied to a sample of 273 high school students in the city of Minya, including(118) males, (155) females, and was confirmed the stability of the scale through the equation of alphakronbach, and re-application, while checking the sincerity of the scale through the honesty of arbitrators, honesty factor, honesty of the test, and internal consistency, the results of the study confirmed the validity of 53 secondary studies that can be reached in future studies, and then come up with a series of recommendations The proposals include increasing attention to adolescence, especially secondary education, and promoting the psychosocial development of Secondary School students through counselling courses and raising awareness of the stages experienced by the individual from childhood to old age, and the need for a good family climate.
