A Proposed Program in Teaching Psychology Based on TPACK Model for Developing Technological Literacy of Pre-Service Psychology Teachers

Abstract
The current research aimed at preparing a proposed program in teaching psychology based on TPACK model for developing technological literacy of pre-service psychology teachers. The research group consisted of (50) male and female students in the third year in Educational Psychology department. The research relied on the experimental design with two groups: the control and experimental groups with a pre-post measurement. The participants of the experimental group were (26) while the participants of the control group were (24). To achieve the research goal, a proposed program was prepared in teaching psychology based on TPACK model through preparing the teacher’s guide for the social emotional learning course formulated according to TPACK model, and the student’s book for the social emotional learning course formulated according to TPACK model. The instruments of the research were prepared and represented in the technological literacy scale .They were applied before and after the experiment, and in between the proposed program was applied to the third-year students in educational psychology department. The results confirmed that there were statistically significant differences at the level of (0.01) between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in technological literacy with its dimensions in favor of the experimental group.
