Teaching Arabic with a strategy of directed imagination to develop the functional grammar skills and written performance necessary for IGCSE students in the light of international standards

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop functional grammar skills and written performance skills necessary for IGCSE students in the light of international standards through teaching Arabic language topics - defined by Pearson International Standards - with a strategy of guided imagination, and the research relied on the experimental design with two groups. (experimental and control), and the sample was 56 students in one of the international schools taught using the Ed excel system.
The results of the research revealed that there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the two applications, the pre and post applications, in favor of the post application, in both the career success skills test, and the written performance test for the students of the experimental group, and the results also resulted in the experimental group’s superiority over the control group in grammar skills. functional and written performance skills; This confirms the effectiveness of the directed imagination strategy in teaching Arabic language subjects to students of the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE
