A program designed in accordance with the integration of the Kolb and Suchman models to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills for primary school students

Abstract

The aim of the research is to develop critical thinking skills and problem solving for primary school students, the research adopted the analytical descriptive approach to find out the most important critical thinking skills as well as to solve the problems to be developed by the students. the experimental approach in applying the research experience were a group of (88) pupils were selected from the sixth grade primary school pupils, divided into (44) of the control group and (44) for the pilot group, and the application of the experimental treatment of the program developed according to the integration of the Kolb and Suchman model to the experimental group The application of evaluation tools (critical thinking skills testing - problem solving skills test) before and after experimental treatment to the two research groups, the results showed a statistically significant difference between the average grades of the experimental group students and the control group in the remote application of evaluation tools for the experimental group. There is also a statistically d difference between the average grades of students of the experimental group in the pre and post administration of research tools in favour of the post administration. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the program, which is tailored to the integration of the Kolb and Suchman models for developing critical thinking and problem solving ski primary school students.
