Using the K.W.L strategy in teaching Geometry to develop the achievement of second year preparatory students

Abstract

To achieve this goal, the following Instruments were prepared: a teacher’s guide for teaching the unit of similarity using the K.W.L strategy with student worksheets), an achievement test on the similarity unit. The research sample consisted of sixty two female students in the second year middle school students at the Martyr Muhammad Abu Zaid Hajjaj Joint School At Saft Al Sharkia middle school Minya Educational Administration - Minya Governorate, it was divided into two groups, one of them was a control group thirty one female students studied the similarity unit using the usual method, and the other experimental group thirty one female students studied the similarity unit using the K.W.L strategy . The results showed the effectiveness and impact of using K.W.L's strategy in Teaching Geometry to develop the achievement of second year middle school students.
