Abstract

The research aimed to identify the effectiveness of a training program based on the new philosophy of education (2.0) to develop reflective teaching skills and awareness of teaching efficiency among students of the Social Studies Division at the College of Education. The light of the new teaching philosophy (2.0), the preparation of an observation card for reflective teaching skills, and the measure of awareness of teaching competence.
The experimental method with a quasi-experimental design with two groups, control and experimental, was used by applying it to a sample of (100) male and female students, who were divided into a control group (50) male and female students, and an experimental group (50) male and female students. The experimental group studied the training program that included topics for the methods course. Teaching and the control group studied the subjects of the traditional teaching methods course, and the results resulted in a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group students and the scores of the control group students in the post application of the reflective teaching skills observation card, and the measure of awareness of teaching efficiency in favor of the experimental group.
