Abstract

The current research aims to prioritize the development of media education in Egyptian universities from the point of view of experts and specialists, according to the method of hierarchical analysis of decisions. Experts and specialists for the media in Egypt used the hierarchical analysis of priorities to develop a vision that arranges development priorities and procedures.
The results of the research revealed a prioritization of media education development using hierarchical analysis; The priority of developing practical training and attention to the practical aspect came as one of the most important and first priorities that must be worked on to develop media education and improve its outcomes. Followed by training and raising the capabilities of faculty members in media education institutions through the use of experts and specialists.
In light of these results, the researcher recommended the necessity of developing a national plan at the level of Egyptian universities to benefit from the graduation projects of media students, and to discover their talents under the auspices of the state and private institutions. And the use of technology in simulating the media work environment, and training students on it, such as remote scientific trips, studio simulations, equipment charged with using virtual environments, augmented reality technologies, and virtual simulation.
