Abstract

Parental psychological control of psychological rebellion among university students

research aims

The research aimed to predict the possibility of predicting psychological rebellion through parental psychological control among university students. The current research also aimed to discover connotations between research innovations in parental psychological control and psychological rebellion according to the gender variable (males/females).

The study tools were successfully retrieved by (116) final students from the Faculty of Education, Minya University, with (55) students and (61) temporary students between (18-20) years old, with an average age of protest (19.34) years and a deviation in protest against that. (0.71), during the first semester of the 2022/2023 academic year

The study tools include the Parental Psychological Control Scale (prepared by the researcher), and the Psychological Rebellion Scale prepared by Hossam Mahmoud (2014).

research results

The results of the research revealed the possibility of predicting psychological rebellion through the researchers’ parental psychological control. The research results also found that there are significant differences in parental psychological control and psychological rebellion depending on the gender variable (males - females) of masculinity.
