Abstract

Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the effectiveness of a proposed program based on the reflective teaching approach in developing self-efficacy for students of the Psychology Department at the faculty of Education. The research sample consisted of (48) male and female students in the fourth year of the educational psychology department at the Faculty of Education - Minia University. The current research adopted the pre-post experimental design with one group.

To achieve the research objectives, the researcher designed the proposed program, which included:

1. The experimental treatment tools, which included the teacher’s guide formulated according to the reflective teaching approach, and the student teacher’s book formulated according to the reflective teaching approach.

2. The measurement tools, which included a a self-efficacy scale.

The researcher applied the research tools before implementing the proposed program, then the proposed program was applied to students of the fourth year in the educational psychology department, and finally, the researcher applied the research tools after the program implementation. The researcher concluded a set of results represented in:

3. There are statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of students in the self-efficacy scale with its dimensions in favor of the post-measurement.
