Digital Culture and skills Requirements for Minia University's Faculty of Education Students from the Perspective of Academic Programs Professors.

Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the digital culture requirements for Minia University's Faculty of Education students from the perspective of academic programs professors and to provide suggestions to achieve these requirements. The descriptive approach was used because it was appropriate for the nature of this study. A interview was conducted on a sample of staff members at the Faculty of Science, Minia University. Their number is (13) members of the teaching staff .The study found that (6) members of the sample agreed The need to provide an advanced digital infrastructure, equipped with a free internet service for students to benefit from educational sites and research, and to provide a cloud computing service that helps them access files and download lectures, which reduces reliance on paper lectures, and (4) members of the research sample indicated the need to provide high digital content Quality to provide students with knowledge related to digital culture, relying on social networking sites as a means to direct and send instructions to students, and (3) members of the research sample referred to the provision of computer laboratories suitable for the preparation of students, the provision of a policy on how to use digital technologies to ensure the safety of students and faculty members, and the provision of Training courses to provide students with the knowledge and skills of digital culture. As for the answer to the question: What are the digital skills that a student teacher at the College of Education should acquire?
